Apathy No More!

Should we all be upset with the way things are going in our government? Yes! We have all had to do some of our own cut backs in our own homes. We have had to figure out how to grow our money, so to speak. Why can’t our elected officials do the same? Simple, they are bought by big money from many areas. We need to say enough is enough. It’s time to voice our concerns. Forget the Tea Party, the new movement, Apathy No More!

Balance the deficit by cutting spending and raising revenue. We have had to do just that in our home. It’s not rocket science. Revenues can come from where the most CAN come from. Big oil can handle it, really. I think these big tycoons should step forward and volunteer at this moment in time, are they, no. Sad. What a, “all for ourselves,” society we all live in.

We true Americans, you know the ones that aren’t elected to be in Congress and sit there and not compromise should start our own party, Apathy no more! It’s way over due. While you all have your own health plans and security, you plan to strip us of everything. That is not what our Country’s original leaders were about. It’s time to Forget the Tea Party that is only about themselves and make decisions FOR, Americans. We want a balanced approach. My husband was a Republican and left the party a couple of years ago in utter disgust. Both parties need reform now! Balance your Deficit with compromise and true American ingenuity, it can be done.

The utter, rank silliness about the President being Muslim, or Kenyan, or whatever other nonsense the loons will come up with this week has kept us from having a serious discussion of what he’s actually DONE. And we need to have THAT discussion, instead of the constant stupidity about where he’s from or what he believes. I do not give a damn about his religion, unless it infects his policies. But I DO give a damn about his policies, and the guy has been a 3rd Bush term up til now. Let us hope, for all our sakes, that he finally chooses a different path.

Grateful for your comments. I am not certain that I agree with all that you have stated Jolly Roger, but I respect that you have an opinion and that you can look past the ridiculous aspects. He is our president and demands respect. For all of our sakes we need to show respect for our top elected official, even if we don’t agree with all that he is doing. That is why we vote, to remove one that we don’t feel is doing a good job. I welcome comments for and against Obama as long as respect is held. Again thanks for your ideas and thoughts. : )

Hi Pawzy, Your quite right Apathy No More would be a good slogan for all nations not just America. We have a saying here in Britain. “I’m alright Jack” as long as people think like that keep in their cosy comfort zone nothing will be done and governments will do as they like.

Hi Cher, thank you for your comment. I feel that the world wide commercialism has helped add to this apathy. Keep us shopping and thinking we are happy and content as long as we can have products that we like we may not notice what things are going on behind the scenes that run all of our lives. What they don’t know is that we are all not buying into this. I’m sure that you know also that we all must keep a balance or it could make us nutts as well. We can only speak out when possible and do our best to take care of our families and selves as we go. Balance is harder now-a-days….

Now you know why my hubby and I are not associated with either party….they are both corrupt to the core!

You are absolutely right in your statements. Furthermore, the non-American, Muslim man who sits in the President’s chair has stated he will spend a Billion Dollars (that is Billion with a B) to get re-elected. Just where is this untrustworthy, sell-our-country-down-the-tubes individual getting his Billion Dollars??? (not to mention….how did he ever get elected in the first place??)

Unfortunately, we have been slowly and carefully trained over the last decades to be sheep when it comes to relying on and being ruled by our government…we have been carefully acclimated to the subtle changes our Washington rapers and pillagers have put in place….they in turn have gained strength and momentum as the wolves that control us.

This country needs an uprising against the stronghold all those in Washington have on WE, The People!! The sad part is that there is no one courageous enough or strong enough to lead the masses (at least no one that has come forward into the limelight)……so we all sit around and talk about it, crab about it, even threaten about it….but nothing gets done.

WE have become a nation that is apathetic, a nation that would rather leave the tough stuff to someone else, a nation that is all about self-indulgence, a nation that talks the talk, but doesn’t walk the walk!

AND…..don’t kid yourself, it IS getting worse with the passing of each and every day!!

Ah, Obama is not a Muslim as far as I know. I feel that he is an intellectual which is something we have not had running the White House for some time. Perhaps that is why he was elected. I have not heard about his plan to spend a Billion Dollars, but they all spend way too much to become elected.

You are right that this country needs an uprising against the self serving forces in Washington. The corruption is so deep however, it would be a very difficult revolution indeed. The masses need to start voicing opposition NOW! Apathy No More! We all need to stop thinking that someone else will speak out and just let our collective voices ring out so the Big Hard Heads in Washington can’t help but hear the People.

Welcome and please add your thoughts, thanks. : )
