Tearing Down the House

Wow, there has been some real building going on and it has been quite loud!  I’m in my office just typin away and suddenly there is a loud, knock, knock, knock, from behind me, coming from my wall.  Not just any wall, the wall that is too high above ground for anyone to be knocking on, unless they were certified repellers!  Must be a crazy woodpecker!  I go back to my key board and again the loud knocking.  Does this wood pecker not get it?  The side of the house is not wood, but a very strong and hard composite siding.  I am wondering now, what this birds beak must look like?  Below photo from dhanay.

Woodpecker gone wild!

Well, it’s the next day and I am awakened to the loud knocking on that same wall.  This wood woodpecker is determined to get into this wall.  Now I am annoyed.  I go out to take a look and see, nothing.  Maybe it’s on the roof.  Great, we shall have a new water fall in our home come winter.  I have gone out to look a dozen times now and nothing!

I am at a loss, so I look to my more than willing guard dogs.  Surely they are on the job.  Nope.  They are laying in the entryway on their backs, with legs up in the air just a dreamin away, till I holler at them.  Don’t you guys hear all that knocking?  They roll over and look at me as if to say, “Yeah, so.”  Obviously what they want to bark at and what I want to bark about are two different things.

Yep!  Now they are happy to help.  They eagerly look on as I am taking pictures of the house.  Stix has his paw up on the fence wanting more of the action.

Well, I suppose you could try hanDing over a mirror, but what I really wanted to suggest was to hanG a mirror over the spot he is fixated on!! Sooner or later my brain cells come together as a cohesive unit…LOL!!!!

LOL….I love this. If you can figure out the exact place the Woodpecker is fixated on, hand a mirror!! Keep us updated…. 🙂

      Hi Mary,

Yes that would be a great idea to hang a mirror at the the area, but I can’t get to it. Oh well. I shall update you as to the knockin going on around here. I do hope to catch that bird beak handed. lol
